Clyde Allen Goethlich, age 66 of Glidden Wi., passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was born in Park Falls Wi., on April 3, 1957 to Bernard Goethlich and Jarmella (Machovic) Goethlich.
Clyde was a graduate of Park Falls High School. He was an over the road truck driver/hauler for many years as well as being actively involved in the family dairy farm business located in Butternut, Wi. Later in life Clyde was employed through Lawrence Setterman Sand & Gravel located in Fifield, Wi. as a dump truck driver. In 1996 he married Annette Kratt and later divorced. They remained friends and shared a son, Clinton Goethlich of Wausau, Wi. Clyde later went on to start his own business; Goethlich Trucking. He was hired as log hauler for Richard Patterson Logging in Park Falls, Wi. and other local logging companies including Sappi Fine Paper North America in Glidden, Wi. Clyde was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. He was always willing to help anyone in need and could bend your ear off with endless knowledge and conversation. Clyde surely shared his brother Lance’s gift to gab and could surely hold a conversation with just about anyone. He loved the outdoors and working on equipment, trucks, etc. with his son, Clinton. Working before the sun came up until after the sun went down was nothing but ordinary and in his blood.
Clyde is survived by: his son, Clinton Goethlich of Weston his former wife and mother of his son, Annette Ivaska of Mosinee, his step-son Jerold Petroski of Weston, (2) sisters: Pamela (Todd) Frydrych of Butternut, and Hollis (James) Koci of Phillips, (2) sisters-in-law: Nancy Goethich and Sandra Goethlich, both of Butternut, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives. Clyde also had many special friends; you all know who you are.
Clyde was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Cynthia, his brother Kevin, and his brother Lance.
At his request there will be no service held.
Clyde now joins his parents and siblings in endless laughter, frolicking and good lengthy conversations in a world requiring no work but only relaxation.
