George H. Radlinger
age 72, of Butternut, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the presence of his wife, family, and Moments Hospice care. George was born on January 2, 1952, the son of George and Cecelia “Birdie” (Karl) Radlinger and was a graduate of Butternut High School. He married Patricia Szymik on September 22, 1973. They raised two children and shared 50 blessed years together. George was a hard working man who was employed at the Flambeau Paper Mill for 38 years. He particularly enjoyed spotting trailers for the mill and 25 years of driving truck for J. Bauer Trucking, Inc.
George was a family man who had a contagious laugh and great sense of humor. He really enjoyed hunting, making firewood with his wife and family along with family vacations when they could take them. George was proud of both children and gladly
supported the activities they participated in throughout their school years. George was a huge fan of car shows and attended the Iola Car Show with his corvette. George felt most blessed when spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and granddogs (Lola, Harper, Moose, and Copey).
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat of Butternut, (2)children; Joy (Scott) Hunter of Park
Falls, Steven (Mindy) Radlinger of Rio, (2)grandchildren; Hope and Joseph Hunter, his
sister Mary (John) Davis of New London, and by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and (2)siblings; James
Radlinger and Cathrine Esberner.
A memorial mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Butternut will be announced and held at a later date.
