David Kenneth Shaw

Age 76, of Park Falls, died on Saturday February 10, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Park Falls.  He was born on January 29, 1948 in Richland Center, the son of Kenneth Shaw & Cassie (Redfield) Felland.  His early life and schooling were in Middleton.  He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as a general contractor.  His combined service to the Federal Government was thirty-three years.  David was very active in his community including the Fifield Sno Drovers, the Eisenstein Bushwhackers, the Minocqua Gun Club, the Park Falls American Legion, and non-profit organization Sleep In Heavenly Peace.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and dogs. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, ATV’ing, was an avid trapshooter and involved in many gun clubs. 

He is survived by his four children: Lucas (Tiffany) Francois, Sara Schauf, Dustin (Amber) Shaw, and Cammie (Dawie) Lusse, his loving partner Mary Rusch, (8)grandchildren: Kennedy, Lucas, Jacob, & Matthew, Cooper & Tanner, and Dakota & Brycen, (2)brothers: Dennis Shaw and Dan Felland, (3)sisters: Glory (Barry) Tharp, Ginger (Eric) Brudos, and Gail (Larry) Genrich, his special nephews: DuWayne and Ken Shaw, great-nieces and nephews: Derek, Mariah, & Makayla, and many other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Shaw and Cassie Felland, his former wife June Shaw, and nephew Clint Shaw. 

Funeral Services will be held at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Park Falls on Friday February 16, 2024 at 12:00pm.  Rev. Gwen Downing will officiate.

Military honors under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion Post will follow the service.

A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00am until the hour of the service.

Burial will take place at a later date.

Birch Street Funeral Service is assisting the family.
