(From Coach Pritzl)

The Butternut  middle school volleyball team had a great night of volleyball against Mellen on Friday, January 19. We played two sets with our 4th & 5th graders. They lost 15-25 & 25-27. They worked through their nerves tonight and by the end we getting things going. Kinsey Lawver was the leader with most ace serves and serves over all. They learned some things and we were happy that they all got court time. Our “B” team lost 19-25, 26-28 and won 15-12. They worked hard and started setting it up which was great to see. Khloe Radlinger was a leader for serves. Lots of great things were done and we know what we need to work on to give everyone the confidence to play.

Our “A” team won 25-14, 25-7 and lost 14-16. The serving for the “A” team was spot on. Natalee Lueloff and Bailey Pritzl tied for ace serves. These young ladies really played well together tonight. Gianna Nahring & Virginia Augustine had two nice kills tonight.  This team as a whole played scrappy and it was a great start to our season.
