Albert R. Sawallich, 86, Clam Lake

Albert R. Sawallich, age 86, of Clam Lake, WI, formerly of New Hope, MN, died on Friday November 17, 2023 at Court Manor Health Services in Ashland, WI.  His early life and schooling were in Milwaukee, WI.  After his schooling he served his country in the United States Coast Guard.  On February 22, 1958 he married Charlene “Sherry” Apel.  The couple lived in New Hope, MN until moving to Clam Lake, WI in 1999.  Albert worked as the General Manager for Benson Parking which controlled the parking for the city of Minneapolis, MN.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his (4)children: Mark Sawallich of River Falls, Debbie (Vernon) Engblom of Coon Rapids, MN, Laurie (John) LeClair of River Falls, WI, Julie (Sig) Degitz of Lake Nebagamon, WI, (8)grandchildren, (2)great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlene, his son David, and his brother Lloyd.

A graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, MN on Monday November 27, 2023 at 11:00am.
