Arnold W. Mielke, 81, Park Falls

(veteran) Arnold W. Mielke, age 81, of Park Falls, formerly of Baldwin, died on Monday November 4, 2019 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.  He was born on February 4, 1938 in Minnesota, the son of William and Rosina (Schmidtke) Mielke.  Arnold worked on the family farm before serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He became a mechanic in the military and worked as a bus mechanic and eventually retired as the Superintendent of School District Transportation for St. Croix County.

 

He is survived by:

(2)sisters:

Eleanor Wentzel of Wilmar, MN

Alvina Mathews of Anchorage, AK

his trusted friend Raymond Johnson of Park Falls

and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Ringness, his brother Art Mielke, and brother-in-law Merlin Wentzel.

 

Private services will be held.
