(veteran) Anton “Toby” G. Kilger, age 74, of Butternut, died on Friday November 1, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1945 in Park Falls, the son of George and Rose (Mader) Kilger. His early life and schooling were in Butternut. After graduating high school, he entered the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. On May 6, 1972 he married Barbara Seidl in Park Falls. Toby worked for the Park Falls Paper Mill, drove truck, and then retired from the United States Forest Service after many years of service. He was a member of the Butternut American Legion Post and assisted with Boy Scouts for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barb, his brother Charlie Johnson, an infant sister, and his brother-in-law Roger Szymik.
A memorial service will be held on Friday November 15, 2019 at 11:00am at the Novitzke Funeral Home Chapel in Park Falls. Deacon Bob Schienebeck will officiate.
Interment will follow at Nola Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of the Butternut American Legion Post.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
