Ann Cecelia Onufer, 92, former Phillips, Town of Worcester resident,
died in Marshfield at her Wells Nature View residence on Thursday, May 30,
2019. She was born in Phillips on November 6, 1926, the daughter of Martin
and Maria (Balek) Marlenga. She was a 1945 graduate of the Phillips High
School. She was married to Charles Onufer in Phillips on December 2, 1950.
She was a member of Saint Threese of Lisieux Catholic Church while living in
the Phillips area. She loved animals, especially kittens, enjoyed the
outdoors, polka music, playing smear, gardening, reading, picking berries,
making homemade soup, and baking her famous kolache.
She is survived by her three children, Charlene (Robert) Entwistle,
Madison, Edward, Wausau, and Carol (Joseph) DeVault, Marshfield; by four
grandchildren, Heather Entwistle, Christine (Earl), Douglas DeVault, and
Lindsey DeVault; and by one great granddaughter, Ella Glover. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on November 30, 1995; and is also
preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Lloyd, Martin, and Joe Marlenga,
and John Grapa; and by two sisters, Lillian Golemo and Marie Martz.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 4, at
Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Gerald Hagen
celebrating the Funeral Mass. Internment will be in the Saint Patrick
Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00
A.M. until the time of services.
